AUN-QA Assessment

The Closing Session of the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) External Assessment on 20 April 2024 was attended by the UP Cebu Officials and the faculty of the School of Management.

After a two-day assessment of the Self-Assessment Reports of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) Programs of the School of Management, the external quality assurance reviewers provided their respective evaluations based on the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) on the program level assessment framework. The Closing Ceremonies were conducted at the Case Room, second floor of the SoM Bldg. 1, and concluded with a farewell lunch and socials.

The University of the Philippines, one of three AUN member institutions of the country intends to have all of its academic programs undergo external quality assurance reviews and assessments. As articulated on its website on Quality Assurance, “UP recognizes that to sustain academic excellence, a quality assurance system will enable it to continuously enhance the quality and relevance of its academic programs.“ Thes000e external quality assessment procedures included interviews with the academic stakeholders, namely, the students, alumni, and employers. The external reviewers also visited the student support systems offices and facilities and interviewed some heads of offices. These visits are integral in the quality assessment itineraries.

The External Assessors of the MBA Program are Dr. Irene Villasenor and Dr. Ritchelita Galapate, while those of the BSM are Dr. Philip Ian Padilla and Dr. Nina Cadiz.
