Last 6 July 2017, Deputy Executive Director Mr. Napoleon B. Imperial informed two UP Cebu School of Management faculty members that they were selected to be part of the 2017 Philippine Higher Education Career System (Phil HECS) Executive Development Program (EDP) (see Annex A).  The Phil HECS EDP is a collaboration between the Commission for Higher Education (CHED), Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and the Philippines Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC). The program is aimed to prepare selected SUC officials to lead a State University and College (SUC) (see Annex B). For this second batch, there were more than 125 applicants who submitted their application, and of which a little over 40 were selected to participate in the program. However, only 35 candidates joined the 2017 batch. The program started on 19 July 2017 and officially ended on 20 October 2017 (see Annex C).
