The Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) Programs of the School of Management (SoM) of UP Cebu (UPC) shall undergo the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) External Assessment on 18 – 20 April 2024.
The Opening Session is scheduled for 18 April 2024, to be attended by the UP Cebu Officials and Heads of Offices in the Case Room, second floor of the SoM Bldg. 1. UP Cebu Chancellor Atty. Leo B. Malagar shall begin the event with his welcome remarks, followed by the representative of the External Assessors who shall provide the rationale of the AUN QA External Assessment activities.
The University of the Philippines, one of three AUN member institutions of the country intends to have all of its academic programs undergo external quality assurance reviews and assessments. The External Assessors of the MBA Program are Dr. Irene Villasenor and Dr. Ritchelita Galapate, while those of the BSM are Dr. Philip Ian Padilla and Dr. Nina Cruz.
Classified asType C, with three of the External Assessors come from outside UP Cebu, but within the UP System, and one from within UPC College of Science.
The assessment shall be conducted following the criteria and assessment procedures of the AUN QA version 4.0 Program Level, and the activity itinerary includes interviews with the Program Coordinators and faculty members, students, alumni, and employers, along with a site campus tour of the facilities and support services offices. At the Closing Ceremonies on 20 April 2024, the External Reviewers are to present the preliminary results of their assessments.
