The Search Committee is pleased to announce the official confirmation of the nomination of Dr. Marie Jane J. Matero as the sole nominee for Dean of the School of Management.
Dr. Matero holds a Ph.D. in Business, a Doctor of Public Administration, and a Master of Management. She is also a Certified Public Accountant and an active member of PICPA. With a strong research background featuring Scopus-indexed publications, co-authored works, and contributions to international books and case materials, she has established herself as a scholar with global engagement. She has also presented at international conferences and participated in academic programs abroad.
Her more than 2 decades of service to UP Cebu includes key roles such as TLRC Coordinator, Grants Administrator, Chief Budget Officer, and College Secretary. Known for her mentorship and leadership, Dr. Matero’s work reflects the University’s core values of academic excellence, administrative service, financial stewardship, and international collaboration.
