The UP Cebu TTBDO would like to give a big congratulations to Prof. Ivy Jumao-as of the School of Management for being appointed as a Fellow for Cohort 7 of the University Innovation Fellowship Program.
The University Innovation Fellowship was established in May 2019 and served as a platform for researchers to collaborate while also receiving mentorship and resources to turn their research into a commercially viable product.
Prof. Ivy is working on SPAWN or the Seaweed Profitability Advancement Workflow Network. This AI-based seaweed farming & distribution workflow system offers a 2-fold solution that addresses the low profitability of seaweed farmers, especially small scale growers under poverty line, as an effect of seaweed diseases and weak distribution system.
